Description
The winery's top wine, which combines the excellent harmony of the growing area and the grape varieties. Selected fruits from the Steiger and Spern Steiner vineyards (merlot, kékfrankos, cabernet franc) were fermented and aged in new and used small Hungarian oak barrels for 14 months. Poured into the glass, we can see an almost inky black wine, with a ripe ruby rim and a beautiful glycerin ring on the glass wall. Its complex aroma is greeted by an extremely rich aroma of red and black fleshed fruits, which creates a beautiful harmony (not intrusive!) accompanied by noble oak aromas and chocolate notes. The taste is full-bodied and concentrated, with a well-perceived alcohol content (14%) and a fleshy texture. Its young age is indicated by the integrated and long-lasting tannin content, which gives the wine serious aging potential. The merlot, which is the basis of the blend, gently softens its youthful structure and texture. Its fruitiness is most reminiscent of blackberries, sloes, and sour cherries, complemented by aromas of barrel spices.
