Description
Aszú wines with the vineyard name are only made in the event of an exceptionally good vintage. The 2017 harvest of the Betsek vineyard was perfect for this. The summer was hot, so we started picking the aszu berries at the beginning of September, and continued this in the ideal autumn weather. October in particular provided three textbook-like weeks, which were perfect for the development of high-quality Aszu grapes: with early morning fog, afternoon sun and wind. The outstanding quality Aszu grapes were soaked in fermenting must for two days. After pressing and then barrel fermentation, the Aszú wine was aged for two years in Zemplén oak barrels in our historic cellar. This wine is characteristically heavy and spicy. Its aroma is dominated by flower honey and apricot. In the taste, grapefruit and orange peel return with spicy notes and a long finish. Sugar: 197.7 g/l Acid: 7.21 g/l
