Description
Its aroma is extremely rich, with citrus and spicy notes emphasized, nicely complemented by the fruitiness and flavor of autumn and apricot. Its immense richness is balanced by very fine and elegant acids. It has a long finish. The vintage was excellent for aszú formation - after a sunny summer and good autumn botrytization, we harvested concentrated and intensely flavored grapes and aszú berries. The high-quality aszú berries were soaked in fermenting must for 2 days. After pressing and then fermentation, we aged the aszú wine in our traditional cellar in 300-liter second- and third-fill Zemplén oak barrels for 2 years. This was followed by the final blending in early spring, and then bottling in May 2016. Enjoy now or store in the cellar for future enjoyment. Consume as an aperitif, but it is also an excellent accompaniment to fruit-based desserts and hard cheeses. You can also enjoy this delicious wine on its own instead of dessert.
